MASKA Food is privately owned food-manufacturing company located in Troy, Michigan in the United States. The company is the brainchild of its founder Jackie Maamari-Kapatais, a biologist who holds a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Lebanon. She also enjoys an intense passion for food, photography and high level of devotion to excellence.
Jackie is a native of Ras Maska a northern suburban town of Tripoli Lebanon, The English translation of her hometown name is “Drinking Stream Heights” or “Water Spring peak”. Growing up in Ras Maska, her passion for food was originally inspired by her mother, grandmother, aunts and neighbors whose Mediterranean cooking skills were handed down for generations. In 1989, shortly after graduating from college, her adventurous spirit and the promise of freedom and opportunity Jackie immigrated to the United States. Unable to find a job in her field of studies, she worked in the restaurant business for few years. In 1994 she got married and stayed home to take care of her family, but once a “foody” is always a “foody” with the support and encouragement of her husband she established Maska Food.
One of Maska Foods’ core values is to provide every customer with excellent quality service and products. The company makes sure that both the workplace and food products are safe. Because the company is a lean and hands-on organization, the company always ensure that integrity is never compromised.
